Dr. Cole’s academic training includes three inter-disciplinary degrees (PhD (Johns Hopkins SAIS), MSFS (Georgetown University), BA (Gustavus Adolphus College)) that were built around international economics, history, languages, and quantitative analytical techniques. Qualifications include the master’s equivalency in international economics from the Johns Hopkins Nitze School of Advanced International Studies. Dr. Cole, who specializes in political economy, regulatory, and economic analysis, has provided financial and economic analysis to clients around the world, including the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. State Department, the United Nations Development Programme, the World Bank, the government of South Africa, the state electricity company of Namibia, and numerous private sector clients.
