Dr. Nebil İlseven is a 30-year veteran of the Turkish financial markets with a professional background in the Turkish finance and investment banking sector, occupying senior positions at a number of domestic and international financial institutions in Turkey.  Dr. İlseven has served also as the Senior Vice President of the BDDK, the Turkish Banking Supervision Authority, where he engaged in the restructuring of the banking sector in the period 2001-2004. His responsibilities involved all aspects of asset management and asset resolution practices including credit restructuring, loan sales, turnaround projects and divestment transactions.

Dr. İlseven went on to serve in senior management posts in Turkish industry, including 4 years as the CEO of Doğan Holding A.Ş., Turkey’s leading media group with interests also in oil and gas, tourism, automotive spare parts, real estate development and internet publishing. He currently holds board level responsibilities in various companies with activities in media content aggregation, hospitality, aviation, digital broadcasting, internet and real estate industries.

Nebil İlseven was educated at the University of Kentucky and served as a lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University, one of the pioneering private higher educational institution in Turkey where he was a member of the founding team and also served as a member of the Board of Trustees. He holds a doctorate degree in Banking from Marmara University in İstanbul with specific focus on credit derivative instruments and credit risk transfer practices.
